Highlander Highlander Rules The following are special rules for Highlander. 1. Each deck can only have ONE of any card even after sideboarding EXCEPT for basic land.  The 5 basic lands, Forest, Plains, Island, Swamp, and Mountain are the only cards in the deck that are not restrcted.  You can play as many of each basic land as you want.  Every other card is limited to one per deck.  So you can not unwittingly play a second Akroma, Angel of Wrath when you already have one in play even if you wanted to. 2.  Deck construction follows all Magic the Gathering Rules.  You must have a 60 card deck minimum.  No Maximum size. 3.  Format is Legacy.  There is a special banned list and complete rules in the link below for building a Legacy legal deck.
